Celebrating, Rebuilding, and Re-Opening!

Grace and Peace, VCEC!

I was so blessed to see so many of our young people standing up and being recognized for major educational milestones recently! The celebration of our kids at the party afterwards with gifts, a photographer, and so much more was great to experience too. I have missed seeing us celebrate together, and it did my heart good.

Our Worship Experiences on Sunday mornings at 10 am continue to bless me! I don't know if you have joined us recently, but if so, you have seen the excitement as we recently reopened the sanctuary and church to almost full capacity again! Masks are no longer required, but if you do feel more comfortable wearing one we have reserved the last two rows of each section for our ushers to seat you in a more socially distanced way. If you have not been back lately, I invite you to join one of our Worship Experiences on Sundays at 10am!

As we "Rebuild" and reopen, we are blessed to have the gifts of our resident pastors supporting us. Just recently Shareena Casey preached on Sunday morning as she prepared to move on to support another campus. This week, I am excited to share that our new resident pastor, Bryan Winbush will be joining us for the next several months. Over the coming weeks Bryan will be settling into working with our staff and ministries to grow and encourage his gifts. I wanted to take some time to tell you a little bit about Bryan Winbush and his family, so you can get to know them a little more.

Bryan has served in ministry for 20 years including youth ministry as an adviser, Assistant Youth Pastor and Youth Pastor, co-leading Christian education efforts, and as Pastor of Outreach and Social Services at Triedstone Baptist Church in Columbus, OH. Bryan’s other professional roles have included a career in child welfare services (case manager and supervisor) and as a grants manager with Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services managing youth and community-based service programs. He joined the Vineyard Columbus staff in August 2020 as a Pastoral Resident and was most recently assigned to the Sawmill campus.

Bryan has a BA in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is pursuing a Masters in Professional Counseling.

He has been married to his lovely wife, Monique, since 2004 and they have two boys, Bryson and Brayden. Bryan enjoys reading, attending boot camp, running (participating in half-marathons), and spending time outdoors. Bryan considers himself an amateur foodie who loves to cook, with a special interest in international cuisine.

Here at VCEC we know how to make folks feel welcome - so I want to thank you all for making Bryan and his family feel welcome as they transition here!

Bless you East Campus Family!
